The ability to complete complex parts in one operation. Contouring, thread milling and slotting. Cross work includes drilling, off center drilling, tapping, and reaming. End work includes milling, drilling, taping, reaming and boring. With the number of tools each machine uses, it’s a good thing that Erickson Automatics supplies all the tooling required to produce your Swiss CNC Screw Machining parts.
All machines are equipped with Automatic Bar Loading equipment, insuring the continual operation of the machines.
This also allows for “Lights Out” operations on some parts. Meaning the machine runs without the attendance of a machine operator, lowering the cost of producing the part, thus reducing the cost of the part to the customer.
**Thread Whirling handles parts with long length to diameter ratios, high buttress thread forming, and large root diameter / head diameter differences.
